I also had mixed reactions about the midterm. On the firt two sections, I felt like I was trapped. We have leanred about so many theorists and so many ideas and concepts in the class and when we were told to narrow it down and describe a certain concept in a sentence or two, I felt very stuck. I didn't feel that I had enough space to truely show my understanding of the concept and express it to you clearly. That is why I chose to draw diagrams along with writing the sentences so that you could get a better idea of my understanding of each concept. I was also disappointed that some of the key theorists we had discussed in class were left out of the column on the left. I found myself making direct connections with certain theorists or main ideas and then not finding them in the column on the left and having to start from scratch.

I actually enjoyed writing the essay. It definitely made me think very deeply about many of the concepts we have discussed in class. In the essay I could really get my point accross with solid examples and clear descriptions. As some others have said, I would love to read some of my other classmate's paper's and hear their ideas. It is apparent in the blogs that everyone in the class has great ideas but do not often share them in class and I would love to see what they have written.
