back to the memory as commodity thread for a sec
Reading Scooter's interesting thinking-writing it struck me, where he says that we're all responsible for the 'cultivation' of our personal memory or history, that in a very concrete way therefore we are basically filming our self in Life. We're remembering, however, not in a strict diachronic way, linear, unless the mind has been highly trained that way. I think for most of us, the children of video games, memory or personal history is nonlinear and pretty wacky in terms of sense impressions as memory. In any case - in whatever mixture of senses our memory is constituted - the memory function of our experience provides a platform for recording, in any personally stylized way, consciousness as a text: and this is an artistic, or imaginative process, no?
