Depicting time in various media

I really found it fascinating how "Time Frames" depicted the use and sense of time of comic books in a comic book style. Scott McCloud would explain how time was perceived by the artist by how the artist used thought bubbles, frame order, frame sizes, perspective, etc. It made me think harder of how a sense of time is used in the media. With comics you can get a synchronic sense of time as there are little panels or frames that enclose a certain space and image.

This makes me think of how we perceive time like in film, photography, animation, literature, etc as well. In the visually stimulated mediums they also have some commonalities with the sense of time perceived in comic books. There is for example, motion blurs and frame or panel techniques that are used and give a sense of time. With literature, however, it is more of how the narration and content changes that can alter the reader's sense of time. It also makes meI also liked how this article was really a long comic-strip and not written in just words. The visual stimulus was more appealing to me than just having plain text.
